It depends on the quality of the original and what is in the background. Set the opacity of the top layer at anything between 50% and 75%. Go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur and enter a value of 30 pixels which will make the top layer completely diffuse.ģ. Ensure that this layer is selected by clicking on it.Ģ. The new layer is the top layer in the pallete. You will now see two layers in the layer palette. This creates a copy of the background layer that the blur effect will be applied to. Firstly load in your original photo and then go to Layers > Duplicate.
